The partnership kicks off with Code8's latest campaign, Beauty Decoded. In these high-contrast visuals, Alexa Chung showcases a range of beauty looks that transcend seasons and are easy to replicate for any occasion. Things kick off with the perfect summertime makeup look for those days when you want a little bit of oomph whilst still keeping things natural.
Below, we breakdown how makeup artist Lauren Parsons created the perfect easy, breezy beauty look that you can easily replicate at home using just seven products.
1. Radiate Beauty Balm in NC05 & N10.
An award-winning beauty balm, created using a revolutionary Knead Technology for a unique velvety texture. A light coverage complexion booster with a second-skin finish that contains SPF15, Pectin and Argan Oil to protect, hydrate and nourish your skin.
Apply the beauty balm onto your face, starting from the centre and spreading outwards – this will give a more natural finish. Use your fingers or a foundation brush to blend the product into your skin until everything looks seamless. For her complexion, Alexa wears a blend of NC05 and N10.
2. Seamless Cover Concealer in N10 & NC15
A high-pigment long-wearing and hydrating concealer with buildable medium-to-full coverage. Enriched with active ingredients such as Glucan Biopolymer, that lifts and gives a smoothing effect while protecting the skin from pollution and free-radicals.
If needed, dab the concealer on any area where you’d like a little more coverage, for example, the undereye area or blemishes. Blend the product into your skin with your fingers or a concealer brush for a flawless finish. Alexa wears N10 and NC15.
3. Iconoclast Eyeshadow Palette in Lustrous Corduroy
Discover our award-winning eyeshadow palette with highly-pigmented and long-lasting eyeshadows. Created with Knead Technology for a super smooth and blendable texture.
Pick up the lightest shade with a brush and apply it all over the lid. With the same brush, use the matte brown shade alongside the lash line to add definition and blend.
4. Blush Palette in Merlot
The first blusher created using Knead Technology for a blendable and adjustable colour palette. Each palette comes with three universally flattering shades for you to customise your preferred blush shade for each season. Use each shade individually or swirl them together to create your perfect shade of youthful glow.
Sweep the lightest shade in the palette on the cheeks and dust a little bit on the centre of the lids for a monochromatic look.
5. Lash Sophisticate High Definition Mascara
The ultimate buildable effect mascara to define, lengthen and volumise each lash. With film-forming agents to give the mascara formula its persistent, long-wearing quality. Vitamins E and A restructure the lashes and build a defence against environmental damage.
Use the wand to separate and define your lashes by combing it through from root to tip to lengthen and volumise.
6. AM/PM Tinted Lip Balm in At The Barre
This bare look lip care treatment gives a tint of barely there nude coverage. Packed with a powerful blend of vitamins including A & E, this balm protects against environmental stress and early signs of ageing.
To give your lips a more even colour, apply the product directly from the bullet onto your lips and blot away any excess.
7. Glazé Universal Lip Gloss in Spyglass
A universally flattering peachy nude lip gloss with plumping peptides for added volume and long-lasting hydration. This lip plumper stimulates collagen production to add natural volume—without any tingling sensations or stickyness.
For added shine and plumping effect, lightly coat your lips with the lip gloss—starting from the middle of the bottom lips and work outwards.
