Milan Fashion Week SS20: Peter Pilotto x Code8 Recap
ThePeter Pilotto SS20show was the brand’sMilan Fashion Weekdebut and this time they decided to bring the boys along. Yup, they showcased their first ever menswear pieces this season. Bermuda shorts and workwear injected some gender neutral vibes to the classically femininePeter Pilottosilhouettes and we’re definitely here for it.
Design duoPeter Pilotto and Christopher de Vosdidn’t forget about the ladies though. They sent smudged florals and acid pastels down the runway, with models resembling symbolist paintings in the flowing looks. It wouldn’t be aPeter Pilotto showwithout an all-over print, so of course, there were plenty of those to be found too.
Unlike many of the more high concept shows at Milan,Peter Pilotto’stake on the new season was totally wearable. The key? Flattering separates, jewel tones and sumptuous silk. Three of our favourite things.
For the runway beauty looks, make-up artistInge Grognarddrew inspiration from the vibrant colours of the clothes. Effortless and festival-inspired with a dose of playful elegance, the models all had dewy, healthy-looking skin and just a touch of vivid colour on the eyes.
Follow it up by coating your lashes with layers of our Lash Sophisticate High Definition Mascara. If you’re feeling adventurous, use a neon green, orange or pink pigment to draw unique patterns along the brow bone or top lash line. Have fun with it and don’t worry too much. It’s only make-up after all and you can easily wipe it off and start again.Finish the look by applyingMatte Velour lipstick in Limaall over the lips. The result is a pigmented, full-looking pout that’s perfectly moisturized and ready for festival shenanigans. And that's it!
Whether you’re going to recreate this look at Coachella next year or just wear it next time you’re out in Chelsea, you’re most definitely going to turn heads.
