The Next Big Thing in Christmas Makeup Looks

The festive season means only one thing to us - party makeup! So now that winter glamour is in full swing, we're in our element creating elegant and easy-to-achieve beauty looks. Using our two exclusive Christmas kits, The Party Essentials Kit in Lima and Lost In Translation, and One Palette 3 Christmas Looks Velvet Chrome, alongside some of our iconic products, we’ve collaborated with eight of our favourite ladies (from top influencers to top models) to showcase the top makeup and beauty trends we predict everyone will be wearing this festive season . The kits are universally flattering, easy to use and can create a gorgeous Christmas makeup look in a few easy steps.

Smouldering Smokey Eyes

When you hear the words “Christmas makeup,” your mind might automatically think glitter and glitz, but here at Code8 we’re all about grown-up glamour—and nothing goes quite as well with an evening dress as classic kohl-rimmed eyes. To create this look on the beautiful Masha from @masha_theone, on her skin we used Day To Night Foundation in W20 and Seamless Cover Perfecting in NW15. To make Masha look sun-kissed we used the Bronze Summer Glow Powder In Coco Island and on the apples of her cheeks we used the Blush Palette in the shade Rosé. For her eyes, we primed the lids with Seamless Cover Concealer in N25, before lining the waterline as well as the top and bottom lashes with the Contour Eye Pencil in Classic Black. Finish the look with Lash Sophisticate High Definition Mascara, and voila. Festive rock chic.

Floating Cat-Eye

A playful twist on the classic cat-eye is an easy way to grab attention at any party (without putting in a lot of work). Lesley of @freshlengths proves how striking this look can be. Her dewy complexion was created using the Day to Night Foundation in W50 and NW40 and the Seamless Cover Concealer in N25 along with Code 8’s Bronze Summer Glow Powder in Tulum. The Highlight HD Palette Between Two Women along her cheek and brow bones gave her a subtle and natural glow. The only thing needed to complete the graphic, cut crease shapes made was the Precision Liquid Eyeliner in Carbon Black.

Instant- Party Red Lips

A classic red lip isn’t going anywhere this festive period and we couldn’t be happier. Timeless but fun, it’s the look that just keeps on giving. To create the classic make-up on stunning Wei Lin, we began by building up a striking shimmering eye using the Iconoclast Eyeshadow Palette in Velvet Chrome and then added a coat of Lash Sophisticate Definition Mascara.

For Wei Lin’s complexion, we used the Matte Velour Powder in Light to take away any shine and added a sweeping of our Blush Palette in Rosé to the balls of her cheeks. For a sun-kissed glow, we blended Bronze Summer Glow Powder in Positano around her temples, jawlines and cheekbones. For the bold red lip - the pièce de résistance of the look - we used Glazé Lip Lacquer in Gala. A glossy, head-turning look.

Rock ’n’ Roll Eye

Beauty Pinterest boards and red carpets are full of smokey eyes and nude lips, and we can see why. Sultry and glamorous, the likes of Natalie Portman and Jennifer Connelly can’t get enough of the look. On the beautiful Vaida, we began with Radiate Beauty Balm in NC05 and N10 and Seamless Cover Concealer in N10 to create a fresh and blemish-free complexion. For her smokey eyes, we used Iconoclast Eyeshadow Palette in Velvet Chrome with a coating of Lash Sophisticate High Definition Mascara. To finish her eyes we used Contour Eye Pencil in Classic Black.

We brushed Blush Palette in Rosé on her cheeks and Highlight HD Palette in Between Two Women on her cheekbones and down the centre of her nose for a natural glow. We used Glazé Lip Lacquer in Minimalist for her nude lip. Sultry, glamorous and minimal effort, what more could you ask for from a festive look?

Minimalist-Glam Eyes

Christmas isn’t complete without some shimmer but this year it’s been combined with one of our favourite eye beauty looks. Minimalist-Glam has given the classic smokey eye a festive overhaul and the results are everything you’d expect – stunning. To create the look on Shraddha from @shrads we began with Radiate Beauty Balm in W20 and Seamless Cover Concealer in NW15 on her skin. On her eyes, we used the Iconoclast Eyeshadow Palette in Velvet Chrome with Contour Eye Pencil in Black and Mocha. Lash Sophisticate High Definition Mascara completed the eyes.

We added Highlight HD Palette in Between Two Women around the cheek and brow bones for a light glow and finished the look with Glazé Lip Lacquer in Minimalist. Christmas has never been so glamorous.

Wet Bronze

Christmas party makeup just got a super-luxe update with some high shine! Making your eyes glow is a guaranteed way to make them pop. For Akuac’s look, we prepped her skin using Day to Night Foundation in NC70 and Seamless Cover Concealer in NW50. On her eyes, we used Iconoclast Eyeshadow palette in Velvet Chrome - we added a touch of water to the shadow for the high shine effect - with Contour Eye Pencil in Mocha and Lash Sophisticate High Definition Mascara.

Highlight HD Palette in Between Two Women and Blush Palette in Merlot were used to create her radiant skin with a sweeping of Matte Velour Powder in Dark to keep any shine at bay. Matte Velour Lipstick in Lost in Translation and Glazé Lip Lacquer in Midnight in London were dabbed onto her lips to complete her super glossy and silken look.

Purple Haze Sultry Eyes

Your makeup bag just got an injection of colour with purple eyeshadow trending upwards both on and off the catwalk. That’s right—purple. Believe it or not, purple is the most universally flattering colour for all skin tones, eye colours and hair colours - so what are you waiting for? We created Leticia’s look by sweeping Iconoclast Eyeshadow Palette in Velvet Chrome across the eyelids, Contour Eye Pencil in Black along her eye’s waterline and coating her lashes in Lash Sophisticate High Definition Mascara.

On Leticia’s skin, we used Highlight HD Palette in Between Two Women and Bronzer Summer Glow Powder in Coco Island for a sun-kissed natural look. Matte Velour Powder in Medium was then swept across her face. The look was finished with Colour Brilliance Lipstick in Cappadocia.

Fresh Face, Subtle Romance

A fresh ‘no makeup’ makeup look can be made Christmas party season appropriate with the simple addition of a flick of eyeliner. Emily of Busy Bee Well’s skin was prepped using our Day to Night foundation in N20 & NW40 and Seamless Cover Concealer in NW15. Her eye was created using Iconoclast Eyeshadow Palette in Velvet Chrome with Contour Eye Pencil in Mocha and a coating of Lash Sophisticate High Definition Mascara.

Emily’s skin had a touch of Blush Palette in Rosé on the apples of her cheeks and was finished with a dusting of Bronze Summer Glow Powder in Coco Island. The look was completed with Colour Brilliance Lipstick in The Met. Fresh-faced and party-ready!
